about

My mother was an entertainer and entrepreneur, so she allowed my creative mind to flourish. One of my earliest memories is of her designing clothes for my dolls. She was a multifaceted woman; glam one day, conservative the next. It all depended on her mood and her task for the day. She was a southern belle and is still my style icon when it comes to fashion, decor, and attitude.

My dad was the main cook in our family, and both my grandmothers were beasts in the kitchen. I did away with my Easy Bake Oven when I was 6 because I knew I was ready for the real thing. Since then, the kitchen has been one of my happy places. You’ll find me with a smile on my face when I’m baking, frying, or grilling.

I travel and write for a living, which leaves me with just enough time to fulfill my crafting passion. I’m that person who will make her own hair products, DIY an entire baby shower, and make a floral arrangement out of toilet paper (I started doing that in 3rd grade for some reason). I love to create and I hope to share my passion with like-minded people.

I hope you’ll follow this southern girl on social media and interact with me about life, home, and style.
